Description

The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is the central analytical person of the company. Your main responsibilities lie in generating and optimizing periodic reports on the performance of eBuddy products and diving into questions that arise from the live environment to pinpoint the root cause of issues. On a more strategic level, you seek opportunities through deep analysis and data mining on our users and performance. Naturally, you are on top of the latest developments in the market and seek what key opportunities and threats are. Of the multitude of questions that arise, you are quick to understand the business meaning and the relevance for the company, both from a bird’s eye view and in detail.

You are part of the Products&Marketing Team, which is a cross-functional group of people comprised of Marketers, Product Managers, and Visual Designers who together shape the future of all eBuddy products. 

Your role

• Optimize the availability, efficiency and quality of information from our Data Warehouse or other data sources
• Provide standard periodical reports to different stakeholders within the company;
• Together with the marketers and product owners at eBuddy, you are part of user and product research and communication to our end-users by providing required data, analyzing results and deriving relevant conclusions;
• Data mining: pro-actively propose and deliver strategically relevant (statistical) information of our user base, which could lead to competitive advantage;
• Forecasting: Propose and help execute the best way to make a forecast. The forecast will be translated in clear KPI’s that will be tracked and reported;
• Manage Business Intelligence interns (when applicable);
• Assist in business development projects by assessing opportunities.

Your skills

• Business Degree (with strong Computer skills) or Computer Science Degree (with strong business skills) 
• 0 - 4 years experience in a professional working environment
• Excellent Analytical skills, likes to get to the bottom of things
• Affinity with internet, mobile technology and chat programs
• Excellent in MS Excel
• Knowledge of, and experience with SQL (MySQL/ Oracle/ Access)
• Familiar with Google Analytics
• Fluent in English language; knowledge of Dutch language is a pre
• Self-starter; ability to work independently and as a team member
• Able to provide structure and deal with a multitude of inputs
• No 9-5 mentality
• Sense of humor and excellent communication skills
